We can't override coding because doing so could cause a hazard to our customers, so we get the permits and submit the plans to the city and call for an inspection to make sure the city approves our work and our customers can enjoy their renewed home safely. While others might opt for pirates " under the table" and get a cheap deal, that causes customers to call us along the years to complain about work malpractices, which will call the attention of city inspectors that might give you a warning to demolish andif you don't satisfy the deadline you might be send to court, so avoid the burden in court expenses, don't do that, we've seen it thru the years, and it's sad.
